market day...
When you're lugging a double pram around the Orange Grove Markets, it pays to arrive early, eat, drink, buy whatever takes your fancy and then head home.
The six fruits loaf (try saying that three times quickly) was tasty but the Turkish pastry (with pomegranate, cheese, spinach, honey and pine nuts) was unbelievably delish and worth going back for!
Still not much time to post here or visit other blogs... I hope you are going well?

ReplyDeleteHi Paula, so lovely to pop in to see you and your beautiful images. That Turkish pastry does sound amazing. You've just given me an idea for lunches tomorrow! P.S. That looks suspiciously like a La Tartine loaf with almonds at the bottom. Am I right?
ReplyDeleteI used to often lug a double pram around the Orange Grove markets before moving out of Sydney. That bread looks delicious!

the Turkish pastry caught my eye - it's mouthwatering. love the flowers too. I hear you on crowded markets, it is truly best to arrive early, focus, purchase, and retreat home as fast as possible. When I go to my own neighborhood farmer's market I can count on getting my toes crushed either by large dogs or baby strollers! It's all part of the fun atmosphere though. You scored Paula! Happy week to you. Hope you're doing well.
ReplyDeleteThe Geraldton wax flowers are beautiful. They are flowering everywhere in our neighbourhood at the moment
