A man never knows how to say goodbye;
a woman never knows when to say it.
a woman never knows when to say it.
~Helen Rowland
Do you think that's true?
One thing's for sure - it's not always right.
The leaving part, that is.
Familiar phrases emerge.
One day at a time. This too shall pass.
You're stronger than you know.
Because you need to be.
To take good care of them.
And look after yourself.

Oh Paula, do take care of yourself my friend. I can't imagine how hard things are for you at the moment - adjusting, learning to move forward and so on. I'm sorry to read of what you're going through and hope the sun shine in your little corner of the world again soon xx
ReplyDeleteWhat encouraging words I needed to hear today thanks. Sending best wishes and blessings across the miles.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and wise words...take care.

yeah, those platitudes get thrown around quite a lot, don't they? People mean well, but when you're going through IT, haven't yet gotten to the other side of IT, and nothing seems to make any sense, the platitudes seem a bit meaningless. I like the photo of the lamp, as if it's there to light your way. I think Helen Rowland has it right. Do take care Paula. One day the earth will stop shifting beneath your feet, and then you'll know.
ReplyDeletethinking of you and hoping for the best

All the best. xx
ReplyDeleteone thing i have learnt, from experience and watching others, is that women have an almost infinite well of strength from which to draw. and when there are children... huh, it is infinite it seems.
ReplyDeletethe only problem is forgetting our own needs, remembering to recharge, to find comfort, and accept help.
Oh Sweetheart. Keep walking towards that pinprick of light. You will get there. You are stronger than you know. I have faith in you. J x
ReplyDeleteI can't tell you how happy I am to see you how here. You have been missed, and we are all pulling for you lovely.

Paula, I've been there. Everything is as it should be. You will be ok. I know that for sure, because I was, and years later, I am thriving and eventually, with a capital E, you will one day be grateful for the lesson. Trust me. Altough you don't know me, trust me. hugs and light. Jane x
